The curriculum provides in-depth coverage of critical knowledge.
Physicians who embark on this training will build specialized skills to tackle ESD cases confidently in clinical practice. They will be able to assess complex lesions, successfully perform anatomically challenging resections, employ advanced endoscopic tools precisely, personalize procedural parameters, and evaluate if their dissection removed all diseased tissue.

By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

- Categorize GI tumors and defects, devise strategies for maximum en bloc and R0 resection rates
- Utilize appropriate endoscopic knives and tools
- Predict and manage complications, and evaluate pathologies to determine curative outcomes

Five phases over a full year
From online lectures to supervised cases and proctorship.
Virtual
Online session: state-of-the-art lectures, video cases and interactive discussion.
Assessment
Online quiz to identify the needs for the hands-on phase.
Hands-on training
One-day hands-on training for trainees from the same country, with a trainer from that country too.
Patient observation
Three days for the trainees’ country; each trainee performs cases under the direct supervision of an international expert.
Proctorship
Close observation of experienced proctors, with hands-on guidance and mentorship.
